🌳Growing Tree Preschool Arbor Day Celebration 2026 🌳

What a tree-mendous morning it was to celebrate Arbor Day! This year, our students from both our Hunt Club and Viking Park classrooms gathered to plant 2 NEW oak trees at the newly opened Jim Goshorn Park.

Between storytime with Executive Director Mr. Mike, singing the “Plant a Tree” song, and helping Miss Katie the Plant Lady and Mr. Greyson the Tree Guy plant two new trees, the morning was packed with learning, smiles, and a chance to explore the new playground!

Special thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for making this another memorable event for our students and guests!

Join us on Saturday, May 16 at 11:30 am as we unveil the new playground with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebrate the renaming of this beloved space in honor of our former Board President and park neighbor, Jim Goshorn. Jim passed away in spring 2025, but he will forever remain in our hearts, and now as part of the Gurnee Park District park system. We look forward to seeing you there for what is sure to be another memorable event!

If visiting the park, please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and stay safe!
