KIDNATION / CHILDCARE - CLOSED

KidNation is currently closed to align with the Governor's  Phase 4 Tier 2 mitigation plan. Pro-rated household credit applied for November 20-30. Please view all additional information related to Phase 4 Tier 2 mitigation and FitNation Gurnee here.
  • Initial Operational Hours:
    • Mon / Wed / Fri / Sat 7:30a-11:30a
    • Tue / Thur 3:30p-830p
    • Closed Sunday
  • Access:
    • KidNation is open to current childcare members
    • Drop in care and daily fees are not available 
    • Access will be offered on a first come first serve basis with a capacity of 20 children at any given time
    • Children 3 months - 2.5 years can attend with reservation
    • Children older than 2.5 years do not need a reservation 

KidNation Reservation (3 months - 2.5 years)

  • KidNation Membership:
    • You can add childcare to any membership for an additional $15 a month 
    • Visit a membership services representative to reactivate or add childcare to your membership
  • What to expect when you arrive at KidNation:
    • Children are required to wear face coverings
    • Wellness Checks – all parents will assess their child’s wellness every day before dropping off at childcare and will sign stating that the child is well
    • Staff will regularly conduct visual inspections of children for signs of illness, which could include flushed cheeks, coughing, fatigue or other COVID-19 like symptoms
    • Please keep your child at home if there is any indication of possible illness
      • As a reminder, the CDC has indicated the following as possible symptoms of COVID-19: Cough, Shortness of breath, Difficulty breathing, Fever, Chills, Fatigue, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell, Congestion, Runny nose, Nausea, Vomiting, or Diarrhea (Please note: This list may not be all possible symptoms, which can range from mild to severe)
      • Children experiencing any of the symptoms listed above should stay home
    • Children displaying any of the symptoms listed above will be sent home
    • If anyone in your household is experiencing any of the above symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19, they must remain home for 14 days per CDC guidelines

LOCKER ROOM / TOWEL SERVICE 

To align with the Governor's  Phase 4 Tier 2 mitigation plan, locker rooms are open with limited availability. Shower towels will be available at the front desk. 

Please review additional safety protocols as well as locker, shower and towel service availability.

Lockers / Locker Room Safety Protocols 

Locker rooms are open with limited availability.. 

  • Face coverings are required inside the locker rooms 
  • Please clean lockers before and after use 
  • Members are required to bring their own locks for lockers 
  • Sauna and Steamroom will remain closed at this time
  • Social distancing of six feet will remain in effect in the locker rooms
  • Hairdryers will not be available
  • Roughly half of the lockers will be open and available to use
    • Some areas of the locker room will remain closed

Locker Rentals - Lockers are available to rent. 

To do so, please speak with a membership services representative during your next visit.
Payments will be made monthly. 

  • Large Locker Rental - $25 per month 
  • Small Locker Rental - $15 per month

Showers

Limited showers are available for use. Shower towels are available at the front desk. 

  • Available showers will be marked
  • All new/remodeled showers will be open for use (6 of the 11 total)
  • Shower towels are available at the front desk 
  • Please return shower towels to the return drop-in bin inside the locker room 
  • Hairdryers will not be available

Towel Service 

Cleaning towels and sanitizing spray bottles are still available for use on the fitness floor. Shower towels are available upon request at the front desk.

INDOOR POOL

Lap Swim 

The Nations Drive location's indoor pool will be open for lap swim, one person per lane, when swim lessons are not in session. Locker rooms are closed. Please come prepared to swim.

Hot Tub / Jacuzzi

Hot tub and Jacuzzi are temporarily unavailable. The indoor pool remains open for lap swim and swim lessons only. 

FITNESS EQUIPMENT

Cardio, plate loaded, cable machines and equipment will be available on a rotating basis to adhere to social distancing needs and sanitization schedules. 

All members will be provided with disinfectant spray and towel.  Please wipe down all equipment before and after use. 

Please remember to socially distance when on the fitness floor.  Should you not be able to do so, please wear your face covering when moving throughout the facility. 

WATER STATIONS - BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE

Please bring your own water bottle. Only touchless refillable water stations will be available for use.  Water fountains will not be accessible at this time. 

BASKETBALL / GYMNASIUM 

Basketball is available at our Nations Drive location to members only.  One FitNation member is permitted per hoop. Please bring your own ball.  Games and scrimmages are not permitted at this time. 

PICKLEBALL 

Pickleball is available at our Nations Drive location to members only.  

After making an online reservation, all pickleball players must check in at the front desk prior to entering the Flex Studio. Equipment can be brought from home or checked out from the front desk. A photo id is required to rent FitNation Pickleball equipment. Please review additional details below. 

Pickleball Reservations 

  • Pickleball is available to FitNation members only
  • Reservations are required, please check the open gym pickleball schedule for availability
  • All group members need to be listed when the reservation is made.
  • Reservations must be made online via our website and will only be held for 15 minutes past the start time of the reservation. The court will be released if the players don’t show by that time.

Pickleball Safety Protocols 

  • Based on the inability to maintain social distance of 6ft, all double play participants must wear face coverings
  • Face coverings are also required when when entering and exiting FitNation, when walking in hallways and when social distancing is difficult to maintain
  • A maximum of four players are permitted inside the Flex Studio

Make Your Pickleball Reservation - FitNation Members Only

PERFORMANCE TURF

Be sure to socially distance when using the performance turf area.  Members will also be provided with a disinfectant spray bottle and towel to wipe down all equipment before and after use.  

This amenity provides access to more equipment, space for stretching, HIIT training or interval work outs. Medicine balls, kettle bells, weight sleds and other cross training equipment is available.

TRX® Zone

This system of suspension equipment leverages gravity body weight to perform hundreds of exercises.

Group Exercise

Classes are back on a first come, first serve basis, starting Monday, January 25.
 
Please note that group exercise protocols are subject to change based on overall experience and demand.
 
  • Masks / face coverings are required at all times
  • ALL classes are limited to 10 people on a first come, first serve basis
  • Billing for Group Ex will not start until February 1.

  • It was my first time back since the pandemic started and I really appreciate the practices in place for maintaining a clean workout area and social distancing. Everyone followed the rules and it felt very safe. Plan to try and make more time again to workout safely.
