Trick or Treat with Gurnee Park District

Trick or Treat with Gurnee Park District

On Saturday, October 15th, Gurnee Park District will host the NEW and improved Trick or Treat Street event at Viking Park (4374 Old Grand Avenue)!

Trick-or-Treat Street is a great way for children to get in some early trick-or-treating in a FUN new way! This year, not only will you be able to meet with your favorite friendly characters, but you will also get to play some games and make creations along the way!

"I am so impressed with the enthusiasm and overall excitement our volunteers have shared thus far. I can't wait to share all the NEW activities we have added to make this a FUN event for all!"

Mary Lester, Supervisor of Community Programs and Events

The event will include the traditional character-lined path, but with some added games and activities from characters such as your favorite Disney princesses, super heroes, Winnie the Pooh and friends, the Sesame Street gang, and MORE! In addition, guests will get a chance to enter the "Mad Science Lab," where they will have the opportunity to make goopy slime to take home. From there, guests can also experience glow-in-the-dark games inside our Dance Hall and Dance Studio. Guests will be able to participate in all the games and activities at their leisure.

This event is geared for children between the ages of 1-8, but all ages are welcome! Parents are asked to join in the fun and walk throughout the event activities with their child(ren), but do not need to register.

Taking part in the event is simple. You can either register your child(ren) beforehand on the Gurnee Park District website (register here), or you can pay in –person on the day of the event ($15R/$18NR).

The event will take place from 1:00 – 3:00pm. Should there be inclement weather in the forecast, please check the Gurnee Park District rainout line (rainoutline.com/gurneeparkdistrict) or call 847-623-7788.
