We offer quality after school care for children K-8th grades. The program is relaxed and recreational-based to counter-balance the day's educational activities. Children enjoy activities, games, and outdoor play, as well as a variety of arts and crafts before and after school.

Before School CARE - for students K-8th grades. Students will be bussed from the Hunt Club Park Community Center to school. Children can bring their own breakfast and water bottles. 

After School CARE - for students K-8th grades. Students will be bussed from their school to the Hunt Club Park Community Center. Children can bring their own snacks and water bottles.

District 56 at Viking Park Dance Hall, River Trail School, and Spaulding School

We offer quality care for your child before and after school. The program is relaxed and recreational-based to counter-balance the day's educational activities. Children enjoy activities, games, and outdoor play, as well as a variety of arts and crafts before and after school. 

Before School CARE at Viking Park Dance Hall - for students K-5th grades. Students will be bussed from the Viking Park Dance Hall to school. Children can bring their own breakfast and water bottle. 

After School CARE at River Trail School - for students K-8th grades. Students will walk to the cafeteria once school is dismissed. Students who attend Prairie Trail or Viking Middle schools will be bused to River Trail School. Children can bring their own snacks and water bottles. 

After School CARE at Spaulding School - for students K-2nd grades. Students will walk to the cafeteria once school is dismissed. Children can bring their own snacks and water bottles.

Preschool C.A.R.E. Program

A variety of options are available for Preschool C.A.R.E. This program is available to students attending Growing Tree Preschool at Hunt Club Park Community Center. 

Children enrolled in Growing Tree Preschool will have fun with supervised play, crafts, games and outdoor activities. Children bring the appropriate outerwear each day so we can use our outdoor parks and facilities. Staff will escort children to/from their preschool class. This program is not in session on school days off. A calendar will be provided at the beginning of the school year.

Days Off School 

Are you looking for something for your child to do on the next day off? Let us take care of the planning. Children will be required to wear a face covering. Registration closes one week prior to the program date. Days Off School days will include fun, themed activities and take place at the Hunt Club Park Community Center. Parents/guardians can drop off anytime after 6:30 am. Pick up is available until 6:00 pm. The majority of the themed activities will take place between 9:00a-3:00p. 

What to bring to Days Off School 

  • Face covering or mask

  • Appropiate outerwear, as some activities may be held outside 
  • Athletic/gym shoes

District 50

Parents are responsible for contacting Woodland Transportation to make busing arrangements. 

District 56

Parents are responsible for contacting Gurnee Transporation to make busing arrangements.

 Payment Policy

All CARE payments will be set up via auto-pay. When registering, a minimum of one month's payment is due at the time of registration. All other payments  will be billed on the 15th of each month. If you cancel prior to starting the program, a $10 cancellation fee will be assessed. 

Refund Policy

If you cancel prior to the start of the program you may be subject to a $10 cancellation fee. 

Once the program has started, prorated fees will not be given for partial month's attendance or withdrawal.
